Scouting report
Hudson Rockhill is an impressive Class of 2028 offensive line prospect who combines excellent size at 6'4", 300 pounds with the movement skills needed to play in multiple offensive schemes. What immediately stands out on film is his lateral quickness, particularly in zone concepts. Rockhill does an excellent job getting his body across the face of defensive linemen, establishing positioning, and creating running lanes. He is not simply a big-bodied blocker—he shows the athletic ability to work through his initial assignment and climb to the second level. Once there, he has the balance and body control to stay connected to linebackers and even defensive backs in space. In pass protection, Rockhill displays a strong combination of footwork, balance, and natural power. His feet remain active after contact, allowing him to mirror defenders and stay square rather than opening the door for an edge rusher. He does a very good job of keeping his body between the defender and the quarterback and forcing rushers to work through him. His size becomes an even greater advantage against power rushers. Rockhill plays with excellent leverage and a strong base, making him extremely difficult to bull rush. When he anchors, defenders have a difficult time collapsing the pocket or driving him backward. Rockhill also brings the physical demeanor you want from an offensive lineman. There is a noticeable nastiness to his game, and his film features multiple pancake blocks. More importantly, he consistently looks to finish. He plays through the whistle, keeps his feet driving after contact, and works to move defenders completely out of the play rather than simply occupying them. In the run game, he can generate movement at the point of attack, but his combination of size and mobility also allows him to be effective when asked to reach, climb, or block in space. That versatility makes him particularly intriguing as an offensive line prospect. Overall, Rockhill is a high-upside Class of 2028 prospect with an exciting combination of size, athleticism, power, and competitive temperament. At 6'4" and 300 pounds, he already possesses impressive physical dimensions, but his ability to move at that size is what separates him. His lateral movement in the run game, ability to reach and secure second-level defenders, disciplined pass-protection footwork, strong anchor, and willingness to finish blocks give him a very strong foundation. As he continues to develop technically and physically, Rockhill has the tools to become a highly effective offensive lineman at the next level. This is a prospect we are very excited to continue evaluating and watching develop.
